On September 16, the 2025 BRICS New Connection Innovation Forum was held in Xiamen, Fujian Province. The forum was jointly organized by the World WLAN Application Alliance (WAA), the International SparkLink Alliance (iSLA), the Network Innovation and Development Alliance (NIDA), and the Global Intelligent Internet of Things Consortium (GIIC). It was undertaken by the New Connection Committee of the Industrial Innovation Alliance of the BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center and the International Economic and Technological Cooperation Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) was invited to attend the forum and presented WAA Campus Office Scenario WLAN 7 Evaluation Certificates to enterprises.
Under the theme "Innovation Transforms Life, Openness Drives Development," the forum attracted representatives from governments, industries, academia, and international organizations of over twenty BRICS members and partner countries, including China, Russia, Brazil, South Africa, Qatar, and Ethiopia. Experts from CQC exchanged views with other participants on key topics such as technological innovation, standards mutual recognition, and cross-regional cooperation, jointly discussing cutting-edge issues in fields like the new generation of wireless networks and artificial intelligence. During the forum's WAA Campus Office Scenario WLAN 7 Evaluation Certificate presentation ceremony, Zheng Shiquan, Deputy Managing Director of CQC, and Sheng Fei, Chairman of the WAA Expert Committee, presented certificates to Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. and New H3C Technologies Co., Ltd., respectively.
CQC is consistently committed to developing testing and evaluation technologies for WLAN products. This certificate issuance marks a significant breakthrough for CQC in the new technological field of WLAN 7 and the new application scenario of campus services. As the Vice Chair of WAA and the only certification body authorized by WAA, CQC will continue to work closely with WAA in the future to accelerate the layout in strategic emerging industries, promote the transformation and international application of technological achievements, and contribute to the high-quality development of the global WLAN industry.
