July 1, 2025, during the 17th International Transportation Technology and Equipment Exhibition, the Committee for Sustainable Aviation Fuel under the Global Alliance for Sustainable Transportation Innovation was officially launched, co-initiated by the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC). Attendees at the launch ceremony included Dai Dongchang, former Vice Minister of Transport and Vice President of the Global Alliance; Liu Peng, Director of the China International Centre for Sustainable Transport Innovation and Knowledge; and Xu Shaoshan, the Deputy Managing Director of CQC.
The aviation industry is globally recognized as one of the hardest-to-abate sectors. Developing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) is a critical pathway for China's civil aviation green transition and represents a practical approach to actively implement the nation’s dual-carbon goals while achieving comprehensive green transformation. The SAF Committee shoulders the mission of integrating global resources, strengthening industrial chains, and overcoming development bottlenecks. It aims to consolidate industry forces to build a trinity ecological system encompassing "technological innovation, industrial synergy, and value sharing," thereby providing environmentally and economically viable green solutions for energy transition and low-carbon aviation development in China and globally.
As the sole third-party quality service provider among the SAF Committee’s founding members, CQC is currently the only Chinese certification body accredited for ISCC CORSIA certification, which offers robust and credible sustainability certification services for enterprises across the SAF value chain. Moving forward, CQC will continue to enhance our professional capabilities in the new energy sector, actively implement national strategies for green and low-carbon energy transition, and help Chinese enterprises strengthen their competitiveness in the international market.
