Recently, the International Certification Network (IQNET) conducted a week-long in-depth exchange with China Quality Certification Centre (CQC), during which a peer review was successfully completed and CQC hosted a social responsibility auditor training program.
Authoritative Recognition: CQC Passed IQNET Peer Review
From April 9 to 11, a professional review team—comprising Tatiana GROSSGLAUSER (IQNET Business Development Manager), Iván ROJAS (IQNET Competence & Quality Manager), and Hideaki UCHIDA (Peer Reviewer from the Japan Quality Assurance Organization, JQA)—conducted a rigorous assessment of three CQC system certification departments as well as CCIC Shenzhen and Ningbo branches. The evaluation covered six key areas: Sustainability & Governance, Business Management, Product Portfolio, Market & Communication, Personnel Management, and Service Delivery.
The review team highly commended CQC’s professional competence, ethical conduct, and compliance, confirming that it meets IQNET member standards. They will recommend to the IQNET Peer Review Committee and General Assembly that CQC retain its membership.
International Industry Training: Enhancing Social Responsibility Auditing Capabilities
On April 7 and 8, commissioned by IQNET, CQC successfully organized auditor training programs on IQNET SR10, SA8000, and FSSC 24000 (a newly launched social responsibility standard in 2023, for which CQC has already obtained accreditation).
The training attracted numerous industry experts and certification professionals, combining theoretical instruction, case studies, and hands-on exercises to help participants master cutting-edge social responsibility auditing methodologies.
This initiative marks a significant step in localizing international certification standards while providing talent support for the global development of Chinese certification bodies.
Deepening Cooperation: Expanding Global Certification Services
CQC joined IQNET in 2001 and has since become a key partner. Current collaborations include:
- Social Responsibility Systems: FSSC 24000, SA8000, IQNET SR10,
- Supplier Ethical Standards: Sedex SMETA,
- Mutual Recognition & Delegated Audits: IQNET member certificates,
- Extended Certification Services: Enterprises certified by CQC for ISO 9001 (QMS), ISO 14001 (EMS), ISO 45001 (OH&S), and ISO 22000 (FSMS) receive dual certification with IQNET.
CQC also issues IQNET certificates for "Zhejiang Made", ISO 42001 (AI Management Systems), and ISO 41001 (Facility Management Systems).
Moving forward, CQC will continue to strengthen collaboration with IQNET, jointly advancing global certification standards and enhancing international mutual recognition.
