On March 5-6, 2025, the Electric Vehicle Power Supply Equipment Quality Conference, co-hosted by the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) and the State Grid Electric Power Research Institute Co., Ltd., was successfully held in Shantou City, Guangdong Province. Over 600 participants attended, including representatives from the Certification and Supervision Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, the Shantou Market Supervision Administration, and experts from enterprises in the electric vehicle power supply equipment industry.

Liu Jiang, Managing Director of CQC, delivered the opening speech. The representative from the Certification and Supervision Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation provided an in-depth interpretation of the mandatory product certification system for electric vehicle power supply equipment. They also outlined requirements for further improving professional management capabilities, technical expertise, and risk prevention and control capabilities to maintain the authority and effectiveness of mandatory product certification, supporting the healthy and sustainable development of the industry.

The representative from the Quality Development and Certification Supervision Division of the Shantou Market Supervision Administration introduced local regulatory policies, emphasizing the importance of balancing supervision with service, and expressed commitment to enhancing industrial services, actively guiding enterprises to improve quality management levels, and driving high-quality industry development.

At the conference, experts from CQC provided detailed explanations of the standards, implementation rules, and details of the mandatory product certification for electric vehicle power supply equipment.
