On 29^th February 2024, China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) issued the first certificates for Lighting Product Quality Classification (luminaires for learning) in Beijing. Xie Zhaoxu, Party Secretary and Managing Director of CQC, attended the ceremony and presented certificates for the enterprises.

In January 2024, CQC independently developed and launched the Lighting Product Quality Classification Certification (luminaires for learning), which innovatively increased the technical requirements of reliability, convenience, and intelligence of learning luminaires, and filled the gaps of reading and writing luminaires product standards in terms of the optical performance evaluation requirements of floor lamps and fixtures used for whole-house lighting. The certification implementation is poised to further elevate the quality of learning luminaires, steering enterprises away from mere price competition towards a more quality-oriented approach. Simultaneously, it provides consumers professional basis and reliable guarantee for purchasing learning luminaires with boast superior performance, robust reliability, and convenient functionalities.

The Lighting Product Quality Classification Certification (luminaires for learning) has received positive response from lighting appliance manufacturers. Reading and writing desk lamps produced by Panasonic Manufacturing (Beijing) Co., Ltd., Opple Lighting Co., Ltd, Signify (China) Investment Co., Ltd, Midea Intelligent Lighting & Controls Technology Co., Ltd., and Shenzhen Kangshijia Network Technology Development Co., Ltd, and the floor lamps for whole-house illumination produced by Zhejiang Zhiyi E-commerce Co., Ltd. and Panasonic Manufacturing (Beijing) Co., Ltd., has acquired the first certificates. In the future, CQC will continue to uphold the core principles of quality certification “deliver trust and serve the development”, actively drive the research, development and promotion of lighting product quality grading certification and other projects. CQC will maintain commitment to keep base line by mandatory certification, pursue the peak line by grading certification, contributing to a favorable industrial ecosystem.
