To whom it may concern,
GCC Standardization Organization (GSO) recently announced that, GSO has adopted the standard IEC 60335-2-24:2020 (Ed 8.0) “Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Part 2-24: Particular requirements for refrigerating appliances, ice-cream appliances and ice makers”, and from January 31, 2024, it will enter a 2-year transition period.
Therefore, CQC makes the following statement:
(1) Mandatory Compliance Date: January 31, 2026;
(2) For the G-mark certificates issued according to the previous version (IEC 60335-2-24:2010+AMD1:2012+AMD2:2017), all relevant Economic Operators shall complete the certificate update process by the 31st January 2026 deadline.
