In order to effectively safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the elderly in the digital economy era and help them overcome the digital gap, China has successively developed a series of age-friendly policies. The General Requirements for Age-Friendly Adaptation of E-commerce Platforms, jointly proposed by CQC, the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, and China Jiliang University, aims to leverage the leading role of national standards to effectively regulate the design, development, transformation, and operation of age-friendly e-commerce platforms. This initiative aligns with the trend of societal aging, guides the consumption habits of the elderly, and promotes the high-quality development of the silver economy.

Moving forward, CQC will diligently carry out related work in accordance with the plan, enhancing coordination and extensively soliciting opinions during the standard-setting process to ensure the quality and level of the standards, while fulfilling the task of formulating national standards as required.
