The China-ASEAN New Energy Vehicle Testing and Certification Alliance was Established


On May 16th, the inaugural meeting of the China-ASEAN New Energy Vehicle Testing and Certification Alliance ("Testing Certification Alliance") was held in Nanning, Guangxi, China. The alliance, led by CQC of CCIC Group, is a voluntary cooperative organization formed by eight institutions, including China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd(CAERI) and other organizations. It aims to further integrate domestic and international leading technological resources and address technical trade challenges encountered during the export of new energy vehicles.

Deputy Director of the Certification Department of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Yao Lei, Secretary of the Party Group and Director of the Market Supervision Administration of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Li Ze, and Xie Zhaoxu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of CQC, attended the meeting.

Under the guidance of the State Administration for Market Regulation and the organizational guidance of the Market Supervision Administration of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the Testing Certification Alliance fully utilizes Guangxi's unique regional and industrial advantages to enhance the aggregation capacity of the industrial chain resources. It promotes international recognition and mutual recognition of testing and certification for automobiles, new energy vehicles, and their components. Furthermore, it aims to facilitate the global expansion of China's new energy vehicles and enhance the international influence of Chinese automotive brands.

During the meeting, Liu Jiang, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of CQC, was elected as the first Chairman of the Testing Certification Alliance. Wang Rui, Director-General of CAERI, was elected as Vice Chairman, and Xia Guoqiang, Director of Standardization and CQC of CAERI, was elected as Vice Secretary-General. Liu Jiang read the charter of the Testing Certification Alliance and signed a cooperation agreement with Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd. on behalf of the alliance.
