From February 27-28, 2023, the 17th China IDC Industry Annual Ceremony (IDCC) was held in China National Convention Center (Beijing). The theme of this annual ceremony is “Decoding Sustainable Development”. At the event, Classification and Evaluation Method of Zero-carbon Data Center co-edited by China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) was officially released and CQC expert was employed as a committee member of the Data Center Committee of China Communications Industry Association (CIDC).
In recent years, the total energy consumption of data centers in China has been growing at a high speed. Classification and Evaluation Method of Zero-carbon Data Center establishes the basic requirements, constraints, evaluation system and evaluation process of evaluating zero-carbon data centers. Through the accounting and rating of their energy-saving technology application, carbon offset as well as other aspects, current zero-carbon development status of these data centers is comprehensively evaluated so as to promote the realization of zero-carbon data centers.
So far, CQC provided clients in the fields of finance, government and enterprise as well as cloud services with the data center full life cycle certification as third-party conformity assessment body, which forms a quality foundation for the development of data center industry. In future, CQC will continue to deepen and expand the high-quality development of the data center industry, and help achieve the national goal “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality”.
