CQC Step Further into Energy Storage Technical Research with Cooperation Agreement Signed to Build Empirical Experimental Base"

On January 12, 2023, CQC signed a cooperation agreement with Diantou Tianyu (Zhuhai) New Energy Co., Ltd. ("Diantou Tianyu") and Zhuhai Fudan Innovation Research Institute ("Fudan Research Institute") on "Zhuhai Photovoltaic Energy Storage Empirical Experimental Base". Xu Shaoshan, Deputy Director of CQC, Liang Xiangjin, Executive Director of Hengqin Thermal Power, the superior managing company of Diantou Tianyu, and Zhao Wenbin, President of Fudan Research Institute attended the signing ceremony. Xu Shaoshan, Wang Guanghui, Chairman of Diantou Tianyu, and Wang Junyu, Vice President of Fudan Research Institute signed the agreement on behalf of the three parties respectively.

During the event, Xu Shaoshan introduced the overall information of CQC, the outdoor empirical research of renewable energy, and the National Key Laboratory of Empirical Technology of Energy Solar Energy and Wind Power Generation System. He said that CQC currently has six typical climate and environment renewable energy demonstration bases in China, and enjoys a key position in the international certification field. The demonstration base of photovoltaic energy storage project to be built in Zhuhai is the first demonstration base of photovoltaic energy storage in estuary marine environment in China, and CQC will actively promote the construction.

Liang Xiangjin introduced the basic information of State Power Investment Corporation Limited (SPIC) and Guangdong Company, as well as the future development blueprint of Hengqin Thermal Power in offshore wind power, photovoltaic, energy storage and other renewable energy industries. He said that the SPIC will always adhere to the concept of "creating opportunities and solving problems in cooperation", strengthen cooperation and communication, and jointly make new contributions to building a leading photovoltaic and energy storage experimental base in Greater Bay Area and even South China, and formulating a zero-carbon city development pattern.

Zhao Wenbin introduced Fudan University's strength in atmospheric and marine science, aerospace, materials science and other fields. He stated that Fudan Research Institute will vigorously support the construction of demonstration base and actively promote the cooperation of production, education and research in the field of renewable energy.

Participants conducted in-depth exchanges around the photovoltaic energy storage demonstration base, as well as the application of marine science and aerodynamics in photovoltaic and offshore wind power projects in typhoon-prone areas of marine geomorphology in estuaries.
