China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) has modified Safety Certification Rules for Cold Water Paint. The details are as follows.

Apply for CQC Mark Certification.

1. The rules only work on water-based paint and are no longer applicable to water-based waterproof coating. Change the certification standard into the HJ2541-2016 "environmental labeling products technical requirements adhesive"

2. Revise the unit of certification in 3.1.

3. Revise the auditing of product consistency in 5.1.2.

4. Revise the frequency of certification supervision and inspection in 7.1.1.

The conversion requirements of old certificate

The old certificate holder of cold water paint shall submit a certificate renewal application to the CQC, carry out the unit division work according to the new implementation rules and issue a new certificate if necessary for the expansion of the module application (product testing required) after the issuance of this notice. The certificate conversion work should be completed by June 2, 2018, CQC will be suspended the overdue-completion conversion certificate. The certification which has not yet completed by September 2, 2018 will be withdrawn.
