1 Introduction

GLOBALG.A.P.’s roots began in 1997 as an initiative by retailers belonging to the Euro-Retailer Produce Working Group. It organized retailers, suppliers and producers to formulate the standards for agricultural production. GLOBALGAP sets out comprehensive requirements for agricultural plantation, traceability of cultivation process, food safety, environment protection, worker and animal welfare, thus increased the confidence of consumers in certified products. GLOBALGAP has become the basic requirements of sustainable development of agricultural production and its rules are widely adopted into other sustainable development standards.

4 Certification Requirements

Certification mode: testing + on-site inspection + follow-up flight inspection

Testing reference: Residual standard at the place of consumption, like EU standard, US standard, etc.

On-site inspection content: GLOBALGAP general rules and standard

On-site inspection person/day: inspection person/day will be decided according to the farm production scale and scope of products
