On May 29^th, 2007, the Kraftfahrt-Bundersamt (KBA) certified that China Quality Certification Center (CQC) assumes the factory management system assessment on e1-mark certification and the added conformity of products (COP), which is another certification item authorized by foreign governments that followed PSE in Japan.

KBA is a kind of government section presiding over road traffic which is charged by Germany transportation division、construction division and housing division. It mostly responsible for type approvals on motor vehicles and components which sell in Germany and European, performing accreditation、 vehicles registration、 yearly assessment、driving license checking, drivers administration, statistic analysis of traffic accidents, recalls on testing laboratories and certification bodies assuming type approvals

The authorization of KBA is significant in advancing international cooperation, the cooperation of CQC and KBA conduced to the communication and cooperation between China and Germany in the field of vehicles certification, exerting the advantage of localization on supervising product manufacturing, ensuring the conformity of legislation on exporting products, saving cost for enterprises, the cooperation and the establishment of trust mechanism paved the way for vehicles which export to European.

Currently, the scope that the certification body is competent to carry out: Rubber and plastic products; Non-metallic mineral products; Basic metals and fabricated metal products; Machinery and equipment; Electrical and optical equipment; other transport equipment; Wholesale and retail trade; Repair of motor vehicles, motorcycles and personal and household goods.
