1.Overview

China’s organic product certification serves as a national voluntary product certification system. According to the Regulations of the People’s Republic of China on Certification and Accreditation, Management Measures for Organic Product Certification, and CNAS-CC23 Guidance on the Applications of General Requirements for Bodies Operating Product Certification in Organic Product Certification, Management Measures for Organic Product Certification, and CNAS-CC23 Guidance on the Applications of General Requirements for Bodies Operating Product Certification in Organic Product Certification, as well as internationally accepted practices, the processes of organic product certification typically involve certification application and acceptance (including contract review), document review, on-site inspection (including necessary sampling and analysis), report writing, certification decision, certificate issuance, and post-certification supervision.

3.Certification Scope

(1).Plant, animal, and microbial products

Plant production includes grains (rice, corn, wheat, soybeans, etc.); vegetables (root vegetables, sprouts, leafy vegetables, feed, etc.); fruits (blueberries, raspberries, melons, etc.).

Animal products include livestock and poultry farming (dairy farming, raw milk production, etc.), aquaculture, etc.
