Business Overview

The ISO/IEC 20000-1 standard provides requirements for organizations of all types, sizes and structures that deliver information technology services to establish, implement, maintain and continually improve a service management system. The information technology service management system (ITSMS) supports the information technology management in the service life cycle, including planning, design, transition, delivery and improvement of services to meet service requirements and deliver value.

The ISO/IEC 20000 standard focuses on managing IT issues through “IT service standardization”, that is, categorizing IT issues, identifying their internal relationship, and then planning, implementing, and monitoring according to service level agreements, with emphasis on communication with customers. The standard also pays attention to the capability of the system, the management level, financial budget, and software control and distribution required when the system changes.
