Notice on RoHS Certificates Conversion

To those related enterprise,

In order to further push certification of RoHS Promoted by the State, China Quality Certification Center (CQC) start certificate conversion for RoHS now. For the products in RoHS Promoted by the State certification category, and has got CQC-RoHS certificate with the validity can apply to transfer to certificate of RoHS Promoted by the State in voluntary. The details as following.

1 Certification modes selecting

There are two modes in CQC RoHS certification, type test (mode A) and mode test + initial factory inspection +follow-up inspection (mode B), And RoHS Promoted by the State consist of four modes, mode I, mode II, mode III and mode IV. According to difference between the different modes, the conversion details as follows,

(1) Mode A convert to mode I, mode II, mode III

Mode A should supplement documents review on manufacturers' pollution control management system which is provided by certified organization before conversion, after that the supervision should comply with implementation rules of RoHS Promoted by the State.

(2) Mode A convert to mode IV

Mode A should supplement factory inspection before conversion, after that the supervision should comply with implementation rules of RoHS Promoted by the State.

(3) Mode B convert to mode I,  mode II, mode III and mode IV

Mode B can be directly converted to mode I, mode II, mode III and mode IV, the supervision should comply with implementation rules of RoHS Promoted by the State after conversion.

2 Conversion time

Application for certificate changing is available now, and will be finished on Dec. 28th, 2012.

3 Certificate validity

The validity of RoHS Promoted by the State is five years since certificate issuing date.
