Supplementary Rules for Compulsory Certification of Some Low Voltage Apparatus

To those related enterprises:

In accordance with CNCA [2009] No. 189 notice “Notice of Requirements for Compulsory Certification of Some Low Voltage Apparatus”, arrangements for products that have obtained CCC certificates through CCEE, CCIB and license for the manufacturing of industrial products (these three certificates are referred to as “old system” hereinafter) are listed as follows:

 

I.          In the process of this version change, for those CCC certificates obtained through the old system, testing items and correct testing results under the old system, which are consistent with the existing national standards, are admitted.

II.        For those testing items and testing results that are different from the existing national standards or not included in the report under the old system, an additional test should be carried out in accordance with the existing national standards. Given that quite a lot of national standards for low voltage apparatus are changed intensively this year, and the great impact of the financial crisis to enterprises, therefore, in order to lighten the burden on enterprises, testing fees for some testing items (details are listed as below in Appendix 1 to 6) will not be charged and related expense costs will be jointly undertaken by CQC and the designated laboratory.
