The Americas Branch was established on July 26, 2023 and is headquartered in Naperville, Illinois, USA, sharing the same office address as CCIC Chicago. It serves North, Central and South America, providing localized certification and technical support services for enterprises in countries such as the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Chile.

Relying on CQC’s complete product certification system, testing capabilities and extensive international recognition, the Americas Branch offers one-stop compliance solutions for companies in the Americas entering the Chinese market. It helps enterprises more efficiently meet China’s mandatory and voluntary certification requirements and enhance product quality and brand competitiveness.

The main business scope of the Americas Branch currently covers CCC, CQC, PSE and ISO certifications, with end-to-end services from preliminary compliance assessment through to certificate maintenance.

CCC Certification Services

Taking into account typical CCC-regulated products exported from the Americas to China, our key service areas include:

• Automotive vehicles and components: including whole vehicles and automotive lighting, indirect vision devices, door locks and door retention components, interior materials, child restraint systems, safety belts and related products, for which we provide CCC certification consulting services.

• Household and similar electrical appliances: such as kitchen appliances, small home appliances, air conditioners, refrigerators and washing machines. Services include CCC/CQC certification route planning, standard interpretation and testing services.

• Audio-visual and information technology equipment: such as audio-visual products, IT equipment and office electronic devices. We provide CCC/CQC certification services and technical support for compliance with relevant Chinese national and industry standards (GB/sector standards).

• Low-voltage electrical apparatus and components: including wires and cables, plugs and sockets, switches and distribution equipment. Services cover CCC certification, testing and guidance on factory inspections.

• Other product categories subject to CCC/CQC management: such as power tools, welding equipment, toys and childcare products. CQC Certification Services

For CQC mark certification, the Americas Branch supports voluntary certification for products that are not listed in the CCC catalogue but need to demonstrate conformity with Chinese requirements on quality, safety, performance and environmental protection. The CQC Mark covers more than 500 categories of products such as mechanical equipment, power equipment, electrical appliances, electronic products, textiles and building materials, and is widely used for programs relating to energy efficiency, environmental protection and green products, helping manufacturers increase product value and recognition in the Chinese market.

PSE Certification Services

For Japan PSE certification, the Americas Branch, relying on CQC as an authorized conformity assessment body in China under Japan’s Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Act (DENAN), provides PSE certification services for electrical and electronic products exported to Japan.

ISO Certification Services

For management system certification, the Americas Branch can assist enterprises with ISO series certifications, including ISO 9001 quality management systems, IATF 16949 (formerly ISO/TS 16949) automotive quality management systems, and ISO 13485 medical device quality management systems.
