On August 16, 2026, China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) awarded Weichai Power Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as"Weichai") the first Zero-Carbon Factory Evaluation Certificate in the internal combustion engine industry.

Liu Gang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of CQC, stated in his address at the event that, as a state-level certification body, CQC has always focused on building core conformity assessment capabilities. Guided by the national"dual carbon" strategic goals, and in accordance with internationally accepted standards and domestic technical specifications for zero-carbon factory evaluation, CQC has established a comprehensive evaluation system covering carbon emission accounting, verification of emission reduction measures, and carbon offset traceability. CQC is willing to deepen cooperation with all parties, continuously upgrade conformity assessment technologies in the"dual carbon"field, expand quality services in areas such as product carbon footprint, supply chain carbon management, and carbon neutrality, and help enterprises seize the high ground in international green trade.

At the event, CQC also jointly launched a Sustainable Development Green Initiative with Weichai and relevant industrial chain partners. Going forward, CQC will continue to deepen collaboration with leading manufacturing enterprises and, through authoritative standards and credible certification, provide a clear benchmark for enterprises' green transformation, jointly driving China's manufacturing industry toward the top of the global value chain.
