On June 3, 2026, a delegation led by Adiyasuren Ts, Director of the National Ozone Authority under Mongolia's Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, visited the China Quality Certification Centre (CQC). Relevant representatives from the Foreign Environmental Cooperation and Exchange Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment accompanied the visit. Niu Xiaotong, Deputy Director of CQC, extended a warm welcome to the delegation. The two sides held exchanges focusing on air-conditioner energy-efficiency standards, energy-efficiency labeling and other topics.

Niu Xiaotong noted that over the years, CQC has accumulated extensive experience in product certification, energy-saving certification and energy-efficiency labeling. It has continuously leveraged testing and certification to safeguard product quality, improve energy-use efficiency, drive industrial technological upgrading and advance environmental protection, providing technical support for high-quality development across multiple industries. She expressed the hope that both sides would take this exchange as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation in areas including energy-efficient product certification, standard implementation and capacity-building, so as to jointly advance the popularization and application of high-efficiency and energy-saving products.

Adiyasuren Ts stated that China has developed well-established experience in building the energy-efficiency standard system for home appliances such as air conditioners, implementing the energy-efficiency labeling system, and conducting product quality supervision and administration. It is expected that through this visit, the delegation can gain in-depth insights into China's regulatory framework and on-the-ground practices for energy-efficiency standards and labeling, and help align Mongolia's policy objectives with international best practices.

This exchange deepened mutual understanding and laid a solid foundation for future pragmatic cooperation between the two sides in energy-efficiency standards and labeling, energy-saving product certification, product quality assurance and capacity-building.
