On May 18, 2026, a delegation led by Ing. Peter Pribula, Technical Director of Technická inšpekcia, a.s. (TI), Slovakia, visited China Quality Certification Centre (CQC). Witnessed by Niu Xiaotong, Deputy Director of CQC, the two parties signed the Cooperation Agreement on the Performance of Inspection Activities for ATEX Conformity Assessment. CQC South China Laboratory and CQC-affiliated ShenYang Electrical Driving Research Institute Co.,Ltd. respectively signed Cooperation Agreements on Testing with TI.

Niu Xiaotong stated that the signing of this business cooperation agreement represents a key outcome in delivering the cooperation framework reached between the two sides last year, marking another milestone in deepening cooperation between CQC and an EU ATEX Notified Body. As a Chinese Certification Body under the ‌IEC Scheme for Certification to Standards for Electrical Equipment for Explosive Atmospheres (IECEx), CQC has long been committed to advancing the international recognition and acceptance of conformity assessment results. She expressed confidence that the in-depth partnership will deliver more efficient and reliable conformity assessment services for Chinese manufacturers of explosion-proof products, supporting their better access to European and global markets.

Ing. Peter Pribula remarked that CQC boasts robust technical capabilities and extensive international influence across certification and testing sectors and serves as a trusted key partner. The signing of the agreement signals a new chapter of tangible, deepened cooperation between the two parties in the field of ATEX conformity assessment. TI will join hands with CQC to deliver internationally competitive testing and certification services to Chinese enterprises, better serving consumers in Europe and worldwide.

Prior to this cooperation, CQC was already authorized to issue IECEx CoC Certificates and CQC South China Laboratory is an Accepted IECEx Testing Laboratory (ExTL). Under the newly signed business cooperation agreement, TI (NB 1354) will authorize CQC to conduct ATEX conformity assessment inspection activities covering Module A, B, C1, D, E, F and G in compliance with the EU ATEX Directives, and recognize product test reports issued by CQC laboratories. CQC's one-stop service integrating "IECEx plus EU ATEX" has officially launched.
