PSE Introduction
PSE (Product Safety of Electrical Appliance & Materials) is a compulsory system to electrical products accessing the Japanese market, and an important item of Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law in Japan. Products listed as “special electrical appliances” in the regulation have to obtain the certificate of a third-party certification body designated by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), and labeled with the square PSE mark to enter the Japanese market.
